Easy shakeout run or a race the day before a marathon? Science has the answer!
Several Brolympians are in Houston this weekend to run the Houston Marathon. Like all serious runners, they prepared for the race in the best possible way: By running another marathon the day before! I don’t recommend slacking off before running a marathon; just run 8-12 miles at face pace the day before to make sure you are *really* ready! These folks conducted a 5k marathon in my honor (I’m pretty sure 5k is around 9 miles in American distances). Note their excellent form in starting their Garmins!
